We are seeking an experienced UX professional to join our team and lead the UX Practice.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will:

  • Lead, manage, or provide senior experience design leadership on client engagements while ensuring on-time and on-budget, quality outcomes
  • Quickly get up-to-speed on clients’ business’ and complexities in a variety of industries including, but not limited to, transportation, finance, non-profit, education & eLearning, healthcare, professional and business solutions and construction & agriculture
  • Lead or collaborate with user experience strategists, designers, contractors, project management, developers and clients throughout a project lifecycle
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management level of clients and clearly present your rationale to those people
  • Plan and expertly facilitate collaborative design workshops with clients
  • Select and utilize appropriate UX methodologies for a project such as, but not limited to, one-on-one user and stakeholder interviews, heuristic evaluations, content/IA analysis, usability testing, collaborative workshops and other user testing strategies
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to other team members in this area of expertise
  • Contribute to process improvement and idea generation within Useagility business practice area
  • Actively participate in the business development process to convey Useagility’s value to prospective customers as well as help understand and align goals to create clear client bids and proposals
  • Demonstrate a mastery of a given subject area by interpreting trends, identifying opportunities for the company, and collaborating with a wide cross section of internal employees on best practices
  • Participate in the UX community to further the expertise of yourself and the company


  • 8+ years relevant experience user experience design roles
  • In-depth understanding of current trends in experience design, including research-based design, lean approaches, responsive processes, etc.
  • Expert understanding of experience design best practices and principles such as, but not limited to, accessibility, performance and usability considerations
  • Familiarity with designing within a rapid iterative process, including various ways to prototype ideas for client approval
  • Ability to explain and articulate the connection from research to design decisions through storytelling and effective client presentations
  • Interest in and ability to smoothly facilitate client meetings and collaborative working sessions
  • Highly collaborative and eager to participate, able to effectively manage both yours and other’s time alongside project deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environment
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and wherewithal to help create clear paths forward
  • Keen understanding of how to work in a professional services environment that focuses on providing value for clients


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Masters’ degree in relevant area not required, but preferred
