As our consulting firm continues to grow, we are seeking an energetic and motivated Business Development Associate to join our team.

You will be responsible for market research, identifying and reaching prospects, developing business strategies and pitches, and successfully shepherding business opportunities throughout the consultative sales cycle. You will work with colleagues throughout the organization and report to the firm’s Managing Director.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a demonstrable track record of sales success, preferably in a highly consultative and/or technology environment
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients
  • Enjoy working with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have exposure to design, development, and delivery of custom software, web applications, mobile applications, and websites

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand the prospect database by conducting market research and identifying potential clients
  • Partner with marketing to generate and qualify inbound leads
  • Conduct call/email campaigns and coordinate meetings with key stakeholders
  • Manage client information and track sales pipeline in the CRM database
  • Partner with leadership to develop, codify, and execute sales strategies and processes
  • Participate in scoping projects, developing estimates, and drafting proposals
  • Coordinate responses to requests for information

  • Develop materials for sales pitches and prospect meetings
  • Actively participate in the local business and technology communities to develop and deepen relationships and increase brand awareness

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent professional experience
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience in business development in the technology field
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work quickly and independently
  • Experience utilizing CRM and marketing automation systems
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Friendly and personable demeanor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google G-Suite products
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
